     The novel "Life of Pi" is written by Yann Martel.  Life of Pi  is  2012  adventure - drama  film directed  and  produced  by   Ang Lee and written by David Magee .This film based on Yann Martel's 2001 novel of the same name ,it stars Suraj Sharma,Irrfan Khan, Rafe Spall,Tabu and Adil Hussain in lead roles.

    

                      This film is all about a sea journey of two main characters Pi Patel and the other is Bengal Tigar, Richard Parker. In this drama Pi Patel is telling a story 

of his journey with bengal Tigar. 

                      Story begins with Pi Patel's(surai Sharma) 

Childhood. Pi Patel's real name is  Surai  Sharma but  everyone called him with his neak-name. He has two nicknames "Piscine Moniter Patel  and Pi Patel.

Everyone called him with his neak-name because of his 

Personality.

      

                      He (Pi Patel) lives with his family. His father's name is Santosh Patel and his mother's name is Gita Patel . He has a brother whose name is Ravi. Pi Patel is sixteen-year -old Indian boy. His father is a businessman. At the very young age Piscine follows verious religions because he wants to know every religions.Then after he goes to zoo and see the bengal Tigar whose name is Richard Parker .He wants to be a friend of Tigar. After some time he meet Anandi,who is  a good Dancer. After some time they becomes a friend and then he introduced her with Richard Parker.

                     One day his father decides that he sells everything and go back India because of their childrens better future,But when they going across The Pacific Ocean they faces the storm. It's very choppy ride for Piscine and his family and in this ride Piscine posts his everything,his family. During the storm he jump in a boat with three animals that are the The Hyena, The Zebra and Orange juice and then the boat gets away from the steamer. After sometime Hyena kills the Zebra and Orange juice and eat them. But when Hyena tries to attack upon the Piscine, Piscine gets away from the boat,and after a moment the tiger Richard Parker catch the boat and ascend upon it and then Tigar kills Hyena. Now the Tigar and Piscine are only on the sea .Tigar behaves with Piscine as his nature. He tries to attack upon Piscine but he fails all the time. After some day Piscine gets the information about a boat and find some food and water. After then he writes a cheat and put it in a bottle and then throw it in the water,but nobody sents help for him.Then after he made that boat as a lifeboat and he arange their everything there .

     

                        He again tries to be a friend of that Tigar , he arange a food and water for Tigar and he cares the 

Tigar but till tiger behaves as his nature with Piscine. After some days they faces second storm of the sea.

                       After a storm at the morning they held a little Island. So many trees and animals are there. They also get a fresh water at that Island. They take a rest and gets so many  foods and some fresh whater at that Island and then after they both are go away from that Island.

                       So many days passes on that sea journey and one day, Piscine loses his hope but at that morning they held at the sea shore. At that time Piscine has no more energy to go anywhere but the Tigar go away at his path and he leaves Piscine,but Piscine is there  till now because he is unconscious and he is not able to go anywhere.

                     After sometime,at the morning,some people passes at the side and they saws Piscine as unconscious and they bring him at the hospital. There Piscine discuss the holl story about his sea journey with that people.

 

                    At the last Piscine tells the line that "At the end he fills ship sick , family dies ,I suffer". This story he tells his cousin brother and at the end of the story he introduces his wife and his two childrens with his cousin brother.        

           

                    At the end ,we can say that this story is all about a critical sea journey of Piscine Patel but at the 

end this story ends with happy ending.

2). Which version of the story is more appealing?. 

      According to me, Movie Screening is the best version of the story because movie can see everyone who is literate and who isn't literate. Book is the most important version for who can read or literate. Second reason is that in movie we can present all the things with the use of character .

   

  For Example :- In the movie "Life of Pi"  the character of Tigar represents the fear of loneliness of the character Pi Patel. 

3). What is the significance of "Tigar"?

       The character of Tigar signifies 'the fear of loneliness' of Pi Patel. Here in the movie he fights with the Tigar but in the book he fights with his fear of loneliness.

 4). What is the significance of " Island" ?

         'Island' is significance of "Good Hope" in the story. We can say Island as a good hope because he suffers a lot in water of sea and than after when he loses his hope he arrives at the Island and there he takes rest and arrange some food and pure water. That's why we can say that Island represents a good hope for Pi Patel.

5). What is the difference between spirituality and religion and what is the significance of doubt in it ?

     There is a minor differences in between spirituality and religion because spirituality trusts upon their own and their God,they believes that what is the happening that has been done by God.

    In religion, people blindly trusts upon the religion,they only supports their religion they cannot accepts other religions. They blindly trusts what religion advises to do. Everyone has their own religion and they believes their religion.

    In spirituality, there is a hope that God has done always good, they cannot judge God if they done something wrong 

    For Example :- The Movie, P.K.

    There is very minor defference in between both of them because both are trusts on God blindly but there is a defferente that there are so many religions that's why people chooses their religion but in spirituality,there is only one option that ,you trusts upon the God because what has God done that is always good for us.

     In this movie, we can see the spirituality of the character 'Pi Patel' . Here in the story, " The Sky" represents as a God and we can see that Pi Patel used to see the sky and get the hope that one day his problems or sea journey will finished.
